Campus Assignment and Admissions

Find answers to your frequently asked questions regarding applying to the MScPT program at St. George or Scarborough campuses.

Where is the MScPT program located?

The University of Toronto’s MScPT program is available on two campuses: the St. George campus in downtown Toronto and University of Toronto Scarborough (UTSC) campus. If admitted to the MScPT program, students will be permanently assigned to a campus. Applicants are automatically considered for both the St. George and Scarborough campuses.

Can I indicate my preference for being assigned to a particular campus, Scarborough or St. George?

Yes – all applicants will select a preferred campus in their ORPAS application from the following options:

  • Prefer Scarborough campus (UTSC)

  • Prefer St. George campus (UTSG)

  • No preference

Campus preference does not impact admission decisions and an offer of admission does not guarantee that you will be assigned to your preferred campus.

If I indicate a particular campus preference in ORPAS, will it improve my chances of getting into the MScPT program?

No – enrolment selection is based on a combination of academic background, prerequisites, sub-GPA, references, and performance on the Computer Administered Profile.

If you are selected for admission, your preference for a campus will be considered but not guaranteed. No matter what campus you choose as your preference, rest assured you will still be considered for both campuses.

How many students will be assigned to each campus?

110 students will be assigned to the St. George campus and 40 students to the Scarborough campus.

If I receive an offer of admission to the MScPT program, how do I respond?

The official offer of admission email will contain specific instructions.

In the ORPAS online portal, on the official offer date, it will simply show whether you have an MScPT program offer or not; the ORPAS portal will not display your campus assignment. Instead, an email from us on the offer date will state your campus assignment.

Can students transfer between campuses?

Campus assignment is permanent; you may not transfer between campuses.
