Oxygen Administration and Titration in Physiotherapy Practice

This continuing professional development course supports physiotherapists in developing competence in oxygen therapy during patient care. It reviews the scope of physiotherapy practice in oxygen administration and titration, alongside key principles of oxygen transport and related pathophysiology at rest and during physical activity. Participants will explore indications, precautions, and equipment options, and gain practical skills in applying oxygen devices. Emphasis is placed on safe, evidence-informed clinical decision-making for oxygen setup, delivery, and titration during physical activity.

Duration

  • Completion of 1 to 2 hours of asynchronous on-line modules
  • Four hours of in-person content including a presentation and simulation and case-based learning activities. The in-person component will also contain an assessment of knowledge and performance.

In-person content will be held on October 22, 2026 from 12:30-4:30 p.m. in the Rehabilitation Sciences Building at 500 University Ave. in Toronto.

Intended Audience

Practising physiotherapists and new graduates who would like to roster with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario to be able to perform oxygen titration and administration.

$200 CAD
