Roxanne Azoory
BA, BScPT, MHScMT, FCAMPT, FACP
Roxanne Azoory is a practicing physical therapist, co-lead for Unit 10, and Curriculum Facilitator, supporting delivery of the MScPT Program across all units and themes, with a special focus on carrying through high-quality and equitable implementation at SAMIH.
Roxanne has both international and domestic experience in leadership, teaching, research, and clinical practice. She is a former National Chair of both the Orthopaedic Division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association and Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy Australia. She is a Fellow of both the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Physiotherapists (FCAMPT) and the Australian College of Physiotherapists (FACP), and she continues to serve as an examiner for the Australian Specialization Training Program.
Roxanne’s academic roles have included Assistant Professor at the University of Sydney, lecturing on the Postgraduate Orthopaedic Musculoskeletal Manipulative Physiotherapy Program at McMaster University, and instructing postgraduate musculoskeletal courses for the Australian Physiotherapy Association and Australian Specialist Physiotherapy Education. Roxanne is passionate about high-quality teaching, evidence-informed clinical practice, and advancing physiotherapy internationally.
Research & Scholarly Activity
Research interests in prognosis in whiplash associated disorders and sensory profiling using quantitative sensory testing.
