Jaimie Coleman
PT, BPHE, MScPT, MHM, CHE
Jaimie Coleman obtained a Bachelor of Physical and Health Education and Master of Science in Physical Therapy both from the University of Toronto. Jaimie also completed a Master of Health Management from McMaster University and obtained the Certified Health Executive designation. Jaimie is a PhD canddate in Health Professions Education Research (HPER) doctoral concentration offered by the Institute of Health Policy, Management and Evaluation (IHPME) and the Wilson Centre. Under the supervision of Dr. Ryan Brydges, her research aims to better understand mechanisms of effort regulation as students navigate digital learning environments.
Jaimie has practiced in the area of acute cardiorespiratory physiotherapy since graduating from the physical therapy program. She practiced for 10 years at St. Michael’s hospital in the Heart and Vascular Program and continues to work casually at Trillium Health Partners in the Cardiac Health Program. Jaimie has an interest in implementing simulation based activities to provide students with exposure to acute care and other cardiorespiratory practice settings. Implemented simulations include: in-person simulations focusing on hospital safety, challenging conversations, and virtual gaming simulations on oxygen administration and titration. She has successfully completed the Keystones of Healthcare Simulation Certificate Program.
