Jaimie Coleman obtained a BPHE and MScPT both from the University of Toronto. Jaimie also completed a Master of Health Management from McMaster University and obtained the Certified Health Executive designation. Jaimie is currently pursuing a PhD in Health Professional Education Research at the University of Toronto with an interest in simulation and self-regulated learning. Jaimie has practiced in the area of acute cardiorespiratory physiotherapy since graduating from the physical therapy program. She practiced for 10 years at St. Michael’s hospital in the Heart and Vascular Program and continues to work casually at Trillium Health Partners in the Cardiac Health Program. Jaimie has an interest in implementing simulation based activities to provide students with exposure to acute care and other cardiorespiratory practice settings. Implemented simulations include: in-person simulations focusing on hospital safety, challenging conversations, and virtual gaming simulations on oxygen administration and titration. She has successfully completed the Keystones of Healthcare Simulation Certificate Program.
