Each spring, the Department of Physical Therapy invites the top applicants to write the CAP test as part of the admissions process. The CAP will be administered online and is scheduled for Saturday, April 16, 2022 at 2:00 PM ET. Applicants are encouraged to review the updated CAP FAQs.
The CAP is a written examination designed to assess personal characteristics and attributes, life experiences, knowledge of the physical therapy profession, and critical thinking/problem-solving skills. The CAP is not a personal profile nor is it an MCAT-type exam for which one can study. Typical questions will explore understanding of the profession and ability to problem solve. The CAP is two hours long and features a series of short and long answer questions. Admission decisions are based on a combination of the sub-GPA weighted at 60% and the CAP score, weighted at 40%. We wish our applicants the very best of luck in the admissions process!
