Congratulations to Martine Quesnel and Alyssa Benitez on receiving awards for Excellence in Professional Values from the Temerty Faculty of Medicine.
Martine Quesnel is an Assistant Professor, Teaching Stream, in the Department of Physical Therapy and serves as the Academic Coordinator of Clinical Education and Mentorship for the Ontario Internationally Educated Physical Therapy Bridging (OIEPB) Program. Quesnel is passionate about education and is committed to better understanding and enhancing the educational experience for both learners and clinical instructors.
Alyssa Benitez is a recent graduate of the Master of Physical Therapy program. During her two years in the program, she was actively involved in the department and committed to improving the learning experience for her classmates, serving as the co-president of the Physical Therapy Student Association and as a member of both internal and external committees.
The Excellence in Professional Values awards were launched to recognize faculty members and learners from across Temerty Medicine who contribute to strengthening our shared professional values through their behaviour, communications, relationships, and academic, clinical, and administrative endeavours.
Each year, one faculty member and one student from the Rehabilitations Sciences Sector are selected to receive an award.
