Please join me in congratulating Prof. Kristin Musselman on her Canada Research Chair (Tier 2) in Multi-morbidity and Complex Rehabilitation. The Canada Research Chairs Program attracts and retains some of the world’s most accomplished and promising minds.
Given the growing demand for rehabilitation services in Canada, there is an urgent need for effective and accessible therapies that can be used in hospital, home and community settings. Dr. Musselman develops innovative approaches to restore movement, function and participation for adults and children living with complex conditions. She investigates novel uses of electrical stimulation and photography to increase the effectiveness of therapies. Dr. Musselman also uses technology to develop tools that measure participation and outcomes of therapies. Through her innovations in assessment and care delivery, Dr. Musselman is increasing rehabilitation research and clinical capacity in Canada.
