Dr. Elena Sheldrake is a post-doctoral fellow for the Family Navigation Project at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, where her research focuses on the implementation of a youth and family mental health and addictions navigation service to rural and northern areas. Dr. Sheldrake completed her PhD at the University of Toronto, in the Rehabilitation Sciences Institute with a Collaborative Specialization in Neuroscience in 2024, under the supervision of Dr. Shannon Scratch (primary) and Dr. Nick Reed (co). She completed her doctoral fellowship at the Bloorview Research Institute, where her thesis focused on mental health outcomes in youth with persisting post-concussion symptoms, using neuropsychology and neuroimaging methods. Her primary research interests lie within mental health outcomes in youth, including identifying early indicators and post-diagnosis support.
